Blackberry Approves Official Tumblr App

Blackberry Approves Official Tumblr App (A Month Late)

Blackberry Tumblr app

Blackberry Tumblr app

After announcing the launch of Tumblr for Blackberry almost a month ago, it looks as if the boys and girls at RIM have finally listed Tumblr upon Blackberry App World

We’re proud to announce that Tumblr BlackBerry App has been approved on BlackBerry App World, so fire up your BlackBerry and get to downloading. Future updates will be delivered through App World so that you’re alerted when the new stuff drops. This version also fixes a few pesky bugs with character encoding. (Tumblr Staff)

The Blackberry Tumblr app is nearly identical to its iPhone sibling, both which were built by Moblux (who originally created Tumblrette for the iPhone, before being anointed by the Tumblr team to make an official app).

Tumblr has not yet revealed whether they will consider creating an app for Android and Nokia fans, as well as an official iPad app for bloggers (who may appreciate the wider screen space).

Being listed upon Blackberry App world should help Tumblr compete against WordPress (who also has a Blackberry app), as well as Blogger and Squarespace (the latter two whose presence is sorely lacking upon the Blackberry App world).

Official BlackBerry Tumblr Application Now Available

As trentm in the forums posted, Tumblr has rolled out their own official BlackBerry application. Personally, I’m a Posterous fan myself but if you frequent using Tumblr you’ll want to check the app out for sure. From what I can tell, all native Tumblr functions are in place within the app. For example text, audio and even video show as being supported features and this is only the first version. Give it shot if you are a Tumblr user and let us know how it works out for ya.

BlackBerry Bold 9650

BlackBerry 9650 spotted in the wild again, ‘Bold’ branding confirmed

BlackBerry 9650

BlackBerry 9650

The Tour branding never made a lot of sense — RIM’s most recently-released high-end portrait QWERTY device for CDMA networks occupies the same market position as the Bold over on GSM networks, so the name difference is kind of arbitrary and more than just a little bit confusing. It’s all good, though, because CrackBerry has confirmation here that the Tour’s replacement — the 9650 — is going to be wearing a Bold badge loud and proud around back by the 3.2 megapixel camera. It’s not clear exactly when Sprint and Verizon are going to launch this sucker, but it’s patently obvious that they both will — it’s just a matter of time — so you may as well start prepping your eulogy for that infernal trackball now.

BlackBerry Bold 9650 in the news, again!

BlackBerry Bold 9650

BlackBerry Bold 9650

Lately, BlackBerry Tour 9650 was marked in white color on the net in addition to at present the really bodily item has been marked moreover routinely thinning out similar to viral on the net, as indicated by latest gadgets.
If you suppose that we are only discharging the strokes of luck in that case you can observe the picture which is flaunted here, Bold right on the 3.2 mega pixel cam of BlackBerry 9650. One more supplement will be the trackpad in place of the standard track ball which a number of the cell phones in the marketplace highlight. Trackball has crop up with various tribulations for consumers as well as the presentation of trackpad will without doubt increase the comfort of such consumers. Get the best of latest gadgets!

BlackBerry Bold 9700

SlingPlayer Mobile Hits the BlackBerry Bold 9700

It’s a little late, but Sling Media has announced that owners of the current-generation BlackBerry Bold 9700 can now run SlingPlayer Mobile.

The app runs fully unrestricted, i.e. over both AT&T and T-Mobile 3G networks as well as Wi-Fi. As before, the app offers full control of a home television, DVR, cable box, or other media player via a Slingbox Solo, Slingbox PRO HD, or DISH ViP 922 SlingLoaded DVR.

The app also features wide-screen and zoom modes, plus optimized performance for both 3G and Wi-Fi.

As with other versions, SlingPlayer Mobile costs $29.99. Anyone who owned an old app, upgraded to the BlackBerry Bold 9700, and were left stuck in the lurch can now get a free upgrade.

The White BlackBerry Bold 9700 is now available in the UK through Vodafone UK. People really love to get the Bold in white but I don’t know why RIM doesn’t release other devices in White. It would make sense to do that.
